Giving voice to a successful company story

The Sterchele story

Sterchele is a leading Italian company in modular construction, combining innovation, quality and sustainability.

With a long tradition in the market, the company has evolved while always keeping a strong connection to its founding values. When the management team had to tell the story of that evolution at the event launching the company’s new corporate identity, the main challenge was not only overcoming the nerves of being on stage, but also celebrating the company anniversary and communicating the rebranding internally.

Telling your own story in front of an audience is not simply a matter of listing figures and company milestones: it is essential to build an authentic narrative, able to create a connection and inspire the audience. Without proper preparation, the risk was a talk that was overly technical or not engaging enough, one that would not do justice to the company’s path of growth and innovation.

n

The solution: a focused preparation programme

Alongside designing and organising the event, OTO Agency supported Sterchele’s management with a tailored public speaking programme, structured to turn their stage presence into a strategic asset. Our method combined technical training with emotional support, allowing them to face the stage with confidence and authenticity.

The process included:

Tailored one-to-one sessions

Every speaker has a unique way of communicating. For that reason we worked closely with the members of the management team, adapting the content and tone of the message to their personality and their role. The aim was not to teach public speaking techniques, but to help them find a narrative that was authentic and consistent with their professional experience.

Through one-to-one meetings with a dedicated trainer we built a presentation structure that put them at ease, making it easier to engage with the audience and to coordinate with each other. The focus was on content, with particular attention to the choice of words, the pace of delivery and the use of strategic pauses to hold the audience’s attention.

Structuring the narrative

Telling the story of a company does not mean listing milestones and figures, but creating an experience that moves and engages.

We turned the company’s history into a compelling story, built on a clear narrative sequence: from tradition through to its most recent innovations, with anecdotes and details that give the message depth. The work was based on close discussion with the speakers, to identify the key moments and give the running order coherence. The focus was on the “why” and the “how” of the company’s successes, bringing out the value of its strategic vision and of the people behind the brand.

Working closely with the team also made it possible to integrate audiovisual content that made the narrative even more effective and engaging.

Managing nerves and engaging the audience

Speaking in public can cause anxiety, even for the most experienced leaders. Rather than applying standard stress management techniques, we created a setting that allowed the speakers to feel at ease from the outset.

The evening was designed to be interactive, with a host — the same person who had guided them through the public speaking programme — who facilitated the conversation, easing the pressure of performing. We also worked to create a welcoming atmosphere, involving the audience from the very beginning and establishing an emotional connection through meaningful references to the company’s history.

This approach allowed the speakers to concentrate solely on content, moving past the insecurities tied to performing and turning emotion into a strength rather than an obstacle.

n

The result: an engaging event with real impact

Two or three days before the event, we ran an intensive practice session. By recording the run-throughs, the speakers were able to review their own performance, identifying strengths and areas to improve. A safe, constructive environment made it possible to turn difficulties into opportunities to grow.
