From nothing to category leader: the Alloria success story
The Alloria story
The roots of an entrepreneurial idea
Alloria has its roots in a solid, dedicated farming business, which grows more than 200 bay laurel plants by traditional methods and with great attention to quality. And yet, despite the quality of the product and its commercial potential, the business had no digital presence whatsoever: no website, no visual identity, no online sales channel. The market for laurel wreaths was held by established competitors, often active across several channels.
The founder’s insight was decisive: to turn a farming business into a digital enterprise, able to speak to the right audience, capture the seasonal demand around graduation ceremonies and build a recognisable, authoritative identity over time.
What was needed, though, was expert guidance, able to build an efficient, coherent and scalable business machine from scratch. And that is where OTO Agency came in.
The birth of an entrepreneurial vision
To stand out in the market, Alloria needed far more than a good product: it needed a strategy, a strong identity and a structured digital presence.
The objective was clear: to turn the tradition of the laurel wreath into a modern, competitive digital business, able to meet the needs of students at a special moment in their lives — graduation — and to accompany them with a symbolic, carefully made and customisable product.
An ambitious challenge:
- define a distinctive name consistent with the project’s values
- design a recognisable, memorable brand
- create a high-performing e-commerce platform, user-friendly and optimised for SEO
- generate qualified traffic through performance marketing
- build a sustainable, scalable growth strategy, on both the content and the advertising side
At this stage, OTO Agency acted as a genuine strategic partner: a mentor able to support every phase of the process, with a data-driven, methodical and results-oriented approach.

OTO Agency comes in: a strategic partner for taking on the market
Alloria left nothing to chance. Having followed Giorgio Ghisalberti’s own entrepreneurial career closely, it recognised in OTO Agency the right partner: one able to guide a start-up through the delicate process of positioning and growth.
What was needed was an agency with strategic vision and a concrete working method, because the context was highly competitive, with numerous players already online and a young audience to win over quickly.
OTO Agency brought a multi-layered approach, supporting Alloria step by step:
- Preliminary market analysis, to identify niches, needs and concrete positioning opportunities.
- Definition of the brand identity, creating the name, the logo and a visual identity consistent across every touchpoint.
- Setting out a digital roadmap, with clear objectives and defined timings for each phase of the project.
OTO acted as a genuine digital mentor, turning an entrepreneurial vision into a concrete, measurable operating strategy. Working alongside the client, it provided tools and expertise, but also method, guidance and continuous support.
Designing the identity and the digital infrastructure
To give the Alloria project form, OTO started from the foundations, translating the client’s vision into a solid, recognisable identity, ready to be scaled online.
What was the strategic process OTO Agency put in place?
- A name and logo reflecting the brand’s premium, emotive and evocative tone, able to establish a strong position in a competitive, seasonal market.
- A Shopify e-commerce, designed to perform on every device and to be easy to manage independently, but above all optimised for SEO and for conversion. The site is fast, mobile-first, usable and easy to navigate.
A strategic launch on Instagram, with a distinctive visual identity, an editorial plan aimed at the target audience (students and their families) and the publication of the first content designed to attract attention and generate early signs of interest.

Implementing the strategy and growing digitally
After launch, OTO Agency’s support developed into a complete digital strategy, with the aim of driving qualified traffic, steadily improving organic visibility and optimising sales performance.
Here is how.
Performance marketing to validate the market
OTO launched the first advertising campaigns on Google and social media with the aim of reaching users already actively searching. That allowed the market’s response to be tested quickly and delivered a return on investment in under 3 months, demonstrating the effectiveness of the offering and the quality of the product.
Organic growth through a structured SEO strategy
The organic strategy began with an analysis of the most relevant keywords and continued with technical optimisation of the site and the creation of evergreen content. In under a year, the Alloria site was ranking for over 2,000 keywords, 500 of them on Google’s first page, with a significant presence in Google Images results too.
Optimising the user experience and conversions
Continuous work on UX and CRO made it possible to refine the browsing experience and increase the proportion of users completing an order. OTO Agency worked on layout, content, purchase flows and micro-elements to make the journey as smooth and persuasive as possible.
Data analysis for better decisions
Every action was monitored through an advanced tracking system and monthly reporting. Behavioural data analysis became the key tool for identifying where to intervene, measuring the impact of the work and guiding future choices on the basis of evidence.

From farming start-up to a recognised digital brand
Today Alloria is a reference point in the market for personalised laurel wreaths, thanks to a solid identity and a structured digital presence.
In under 12 months, the site reached over 30,000 unique users a month, marking exponential growth from its earliest days. Revenue quadrupled, confirming the strength of both the product and the marketing strategy.
Its social presence grew at the same pace: on Instagram the community passed 2,100 followers with an engagement rate of 4.88%, a sign of genuine, continuous interaction with its audience. The brand is recognised and followed, shared and recommended. A transformation born of a clear vision and the ability to execute it with method.
Strategy, method and partnership: the ingredients of sustainable growth
Alloria’s story shows that even a business born in a traditional farming setting can turn itself into a competitive brand in the digital landscape. As we have described, it is a matter of vision, method and strategic alliances. OTO Agency supported every phase of Alloria’s journey, from devising the name through to analysing performance data, building a system that today is able to sustain growth continuously and at scale.
For anyone looking for inspiration or reassurance, Alloria is concrete proof that an integrated strategy and an expert partner can make the difference. There are no sectors too traditional to innovate in, and no businesses too small to aim at becoming large.
All it takes is the right approach and the will to believe in your own project.
