Tripling Leads in the Solar Energy Sector: Winning Marketing Strategies
The Solarelit Case Study
Who Is Solarelit
Solarelit is a company within the Greenvolt group, specialized in building and managing photovoltaic plants through the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model.
This approach lets client companies benefit from solar energy without upfront investment, since Solarelit covers the investment, installation, maintenance and insurance of the plants.
Solarelit aims to provide long-term renewable energy solutions, improving energy efficiency and reducing companies’ environmental impact at competitive, stable prices.
The Problem to Solve
As always, our marketing approach starts with defining the client’s goals. The company’s goal was clear from the outset: generate at least 5 interested contacts per month through marketing activities targeting the following roles:
- Plant Manager
- Purchasing Manager
- Energy Manager
- HSE Manager.

The Solution We Found
To meet the client’s needs, we started with a Strategic Analysis. First, we studied the target market to develop a detailed action plan covering timelines, budget and channels to use.
We then developed a landing page to serve as the landing point for all marketing campaigns. The landing page’s UX was designed above all to be persuasive for our target audience.
To ensure every generated lead was managed effectively, the landing page and other lead generation channels were integrated with the client’s CRM system.
Every lead interaction was tracked and logged in the CRM, enabling precise, timely follow-up.
At the same time, we launched campaigns with Social Ads and Cold Email Marketing — direct marketing actions targeting relevant companies with no prior contact with the business, aimed at presenting a compelling commercial offer.
The Cold Email campaigns involved manually collecting targeted contacts and implementing automations for sequential sending and message personalization.
Research and target analysis, as well as the creation of multiple assets, played a crucial role in generating interest within the identified market.
On social media, we chose the most appropriate platform, LinkedIn. We leveraged LinkedIn Ads’ advanced targeting options to reach the specific audience segments defined by the client.
Continuous monitoring and optimization of LinkedIn Ads performance allowed us to gather valuable data on traffic, conversion rate, cost per lead and other relevant metrics.
This analysis process helped identify areas for improvement and make timely adjustments to campaigns and strategy, ensuring continuous optimization of results.

Results Achieved
The campaigns significantly exceeded the initial goal (5 contacts per month) — we actually reached a monthly average of 20 contacts, more than triple the client’s target!
Another notable figure is the cost per contact, which came to just €53. For this industry and the average ticket size of the client’s services, that’s a remarkably low cost, well below expectations.

As for the channels used, LinkedIn proved particularly effective, generating 82% of contacts, while Cold Email Marketing campaigns contributed 18% of contacts.
This result underscores the effectiveness of adopting integrated marketing strategies and their positive impact in substantially increasing business opportunities.
